Kaleidoscoping

Last week i visited my sister. She had this kaleidoscope. I stuck it to the lens of my digicam and fooled around with it.
I was amazed by this "kaleidoscamera". It creates the most beautiful patterns and colour-schemes:

Helvetica turns 50

Since it is used on many parts of this website, i just wanted to write about this unusual event. The Helvetiva typeface was first called "Neue Haas Grotesk" and renamed a few years later. There was an event taking place on 24th of March in Zürich Museum für Gestaltung to celebrate the font and their creators.

You can read about its history here (in german), or here (in english).

Some guys even made a feature-length independent film about the Helvetica. I haven’t heard that about any other font…
